I sponsored a project making a water fountain for pets on Kickstarter (Elfin Fountain) a while back. It finally arrived a few weeks ago and works great with one small (or big) flaw. The water pressure is a bit too high making the waves splash over the edge at the back. After running for a day both the machine and your floor will be wet. Perhaps not the greatest thing to discover after it's already stained your boards…
Anyway, 3D printing to the rescue. This little thing slides perfectly into the hole and blocks the water from splashing as high backwards. Saving your floor, your pet, your investment and your sanity. With this print the fountain truly is a great device.
If I could only get my cat to drink from it…
