Fun and simple to use slide whistle. As you move the slide up and down the pipe the sound will change letting you create your own tune!

Note: Until the whole thing is assembled there will be no whistling sound. In order to get the whistle you need to move the slider as you blow.

Matte PLA has been used for this print as the layer lines are less pronounced and tolerances tend to be more accurate. I tried with a PLA silk and the tolerances weren't accurate enough.

some instructions may help and benefit slower people. You should always have instructions with something requiring assembly, no matter how difficult. There are some special e and learning-deficient people that like to print too. Hold it down, parallel with your chin, rather than out like a flute or you get no sounds. In my experience, with my print, I had to make a hollow fist between my mouth and my slide whistle to get any sounds out. https://youtu.be/JINdrX_aW0w

I agree we should have more funding from actually government for 3d printers especially in special schools with special software to make it easier to create. it'd be so awesome

This is the most suitable method in terms of function and final quality.

Printing it this way makes sure the layer lines on the outer cylinder (which most likely has the most bending force applied throughout the whistle's life) are not simply horizontally aligned along its length. Also the area of the layer lines is increased, making it even stronger. This way it is a lot harder to just snap it in half.

Give your build plate a clean with warm soapy water and dry thoroughly. You may also want to try build plate glue if that doesn’t work.
