I decided to design a smart watch charging dock for the 'Games of the 80's' competition from Makerworld. I remember seeing this old CRT TV charging dock a year or so ago and thought why not make a little tabletop arcade machine in which you can charge your smart watch. I added a little Bambu Gaming logo I designed to fill the empty space on the side pannels. I printed these on a smooth plate, but I think a textured PEI might look better. The size of the machine is 65mm(w)x130mm(h)x55mm(d).

I'm still learning Fusion 360 but I had a lot of fun designing this model and getting it ready to print. I only had these 4 colours available, but I can imagine it will look pretty cool with different colour combinations. Please share your makes with me because I love seeing them!

The arcade machine prints in 3 parts to optimize printing time. The first plate are the side pannels for the arcade machine and the second plate is the arcade machine itself. Print time could be reduced by printing it at an 45 degree angle but I personally didn't want to do that with this object.

When you finish printing all the plates you can simply connect the 3 pieces together with the dowels that are incorporated in the geometry. They should fit together snug but still allow for them to be replaced if desired. There is 0.08mm clearance so make sure your printer is properly calibrated.

Update 18-07-2024: I have uploaded the blank side pieces as STL files so you can customize the piece with your own logos and graphics!

Turned out beautiful! For some reason though the new chargers are a lot smaller, and mine doesn't fit very snugly inside. Any ideas on how I can modify this? Maybe I'll make an adapter to bridge the two.

wow I love the colour combo. that sucks that they are much smaller tho :( my charger is the official one from the classic 4. Best way to remedy would be to make a little adapter or smth. Could you tell me the dimensions of yours and your watch type? then Ill make sure to update my description

My watch is the Samsung Galaxy Watch 5 Pro 45mm (SM-R920). The charger has a diameter of 29mm. Can you let me know what the diameter of your charger is? I'll try designing an adapter. Thanks!

The print came out flawlessly and looks great as a display for the watch. I wasn't sure which model to print since, I have the Samsung Galaxy Watch 7, I went with the default Samsung model. The charging puck was too small so I made my own adapter to fit the puck with the pathetically short cable length, and now I'm able to put it to use with this nice display.

oh wow! awesome you made a little adapter! I didn't have a watch 7 on hand to take measurements so I didn't write it in the supported models. The puck for the 5 & 6 is smaller than the 1-4 so I think that one might've worked but you fixed it real well! Also thanks for the boost! 🤠

great design to support different watches. very high quality result via printing side boards independent of the body! good attention to detail by even adding clip for wire st the base! my only suggestion is vertical racing strip at the bottom of the cabinet enforces a lot of filament change that slows things down considerably, coould hsve gone Withouy

i agree on the racing strips at the bottom taking a lot of time. Painting them manually would save a lot of time printing and create less waste for sure. I love the pictures you send. The dummy is hilarious! Gave me a good laugh 🤣

Samsung Watch 5 & 6 Arcade Charger [AMS Required]

Does not fit the Samsung Ultra! Printed the 5 & 6. Charging puck fits great. The watch is just a little to thick. I can push it down and get it to charge but that makes me nervous it will scratch the watch or crack the print. Overall, I love it. Hopefully a Samsung Ultra version gets released!

I have send you the STL's for the Samsung Ultra in our chat. Clearance for the watch should be 17.5mm. I haven't posted them here yet as it's still a theoretical fit 😅
