HKing F4U Corsair (750mm) Replacement Fuselage
Print Profile(1)

Description
I have come to love this plane, however, I am also a TERRIBLE pilot!
If you have this plane and frequently nose dive like I do, you'll need this!
This model has been designed to reduce stress on the rest of the plane and its mechanisms in the event of crash. The magnets are strong enough to hold the pieces together during flight, but allow them to dislodge when enough force is applied preventing the force from traveling down into the plane.
The provided screw holes will also allow you to equip this model with any D2830 1000kv motor or similar to the one found here. The stock motor provided by HKing will also work.
This model is intended to be destroyed, reprinted, and destroyed again. I would recommend a light weight but durable material. However I have printed mine in ABS with the provided print profile and have great success with flight and durability.
For assembly you will need:
Instructions:
- push magnets into 16 holes on the print model, use CA glue to hold them in if desired, friction fitting should suffice
- cut all the way around the designated line on the plane
- guide the fuselage mount onto the body of the plane feeding the internal wooden skeleton through the slot in the mount, you may need to remove excess foam from your plane in order to get the mount to set flush
- using CA glue, adhere the mount to the body of the plane
- attach the motor to the printed fuselage using the appropriate sized screws
- slide the motor and fuselage assembly on to the plane body guiding the wooden skeleton into the groves. DO NOT apply CA glue onto any part of the motor-fuselage assembly if you wish to replace the parts in the event of a break
- check center of gravity and adjust internals of the plane until adequate
- get out there and fly!
I have successfully flown this model even considering the increase in weight.
