Description

  • Slight geometry refinements

These pedal footswitch toppers have raised/wider heads than most others for easier access and more satisfying activation.

There are tall and short versions included, as well as a version for thicker 11mm switches like the ones found on Morningstar, etc.

Please let me know if you run into any issues or need adjustments, thanks!

Made a second batch. This time in PETG. First try through the app failed (no bed adhesion). Cleaned the bed and went to Bambu Studio. Added a brim, changed the infill type, added ironing, disengaged supports, sliced with PETG. Came out great. Even better fit than before.

Love the concept. I went looking for this and this was the only one I could find. Unfortunately I tried printing it in a few orientations with and without supports and none of them had any good fitment because the design doesn't have any give in the coupler. So, I designed my own. These are just 3, but I probably printed about 5.
Other Issues:No give to fitment (too tight).

Hi, I'm sorry that you've had issues with the fitment. They are intentionally made to be a bit tight as I wanted them to be very secure during performances without the risk of them coming off as some filaments can have a tendency to be slippery. I'm very curious now because I think you're the first person so far that couldn't get them on at all. Could you tell me which filament you're using so that I can try testing on my end? So far, I've tried Bambu PLA/PLA Matte and PETG sans supports without any real issues. Thanks!

Yeah, I was using the BambuLab PLA glow in the dark filament with default settings. I think though that the issue here isn't the filament. I discovered in testing my design that every footwswitch peg has a slightly different tolerance with the diameters. So, your design can't flex because the outside of the inlet is solid. Jump on my page and look at how I did the coupler. Notice it has a slit down the sides and a gap between the inner and outer diameters, so it can flex a bit.

what a fun print! Printed 6 for my Spark X pedal. Now I can stomp instead of trying to press pedal with my toe when I play barefoot! Thanks for sharing! -

Glad to hear that they're working out for you! You know, that was also the same reason I wanted these toppers in the first place, cheers!

Had some slight stringing when printing multiple on the same plate, but could be my PLA getting humid. Had some „lose“ filament strings on the inside; printed without any supports. But nothing too bad, that could not be pulled of or be cut with a clipper. Installed on my Kemper stage (stomp box switches) - and they are a great fit. Might print them in a translucent PETG in the future for the looks. Suggest putting on an old switch 2-3 times first to test fit and slightly „wear them in“.

Thanks for sharing your experience and offering tips! I haven't tried printing them without supports, but glad to know that they still work!

A little tough to install but that’s probably a good sign that it’ll stay put! Great model- will be printing more for sure. Doing these in glow-in-the-dark filament for those dark stages and theater pits as an added bonus.

Glow-in-the-dark filament is a great idea, didn't even think about that!

Could you tell me the dimensions and height of this case? I'm looking for a 13.2 mm inner diameter (to fit the footswitch) 26 mm outer diameter (so it doesn't touch the other buttons) height ~10 mm
