Description

This is a swivel mount for a Ring sensor Generation 1 for the garage door. This one uses all of the original Ring mounting hardware to affix to the device. Then it is simply double faced taped to the garage door.
The swivel portion is printed upwards as shown in the picture using the auto orient button, no supports needed.

Printed great, works just as I hoped it would! Thank you for designing this! The swivel portion swings nice and smoothly. My only suggestion would be to have a version that includes a few countersunk holes in the main (non-swivel) portion of the mount so that we have the option of attaching this to the garage door with screws. It's not the end of the world, however, since I can drill my own holes (and had I thought of it before I printed it, I could have added holes to the model).

Printed your design and published the resulting profile. I used ASA given it will ultimately need to survive in a hot summer garage. The moving part with a default 15% infill proved to be too fragile, thus I used 50% infill for the moving part. Note I used Ikea's Zigbee door sensor, mounted to the mechanism with molding (emblem) tape, also using the same 3M tape to affix the holder to the garage door.

Did the same with the design, but there is a path to insert the moving part which doesn't require stressing the part such that it breaks. I missed that the first time I assembled it..
