Description
After much delay, the IDENTITY DISC BACK MOUNT has finally been released!
A relatively simple Identity Disc model which uses no electronics, though glow-in-the-dark filament is recommended. Check out the MONOFILAMENT Identity Disc if you can't do multi-filament/AMS printing. Also consider the compatible Identity Disc Wall Mount for easy display!
Print profiles of the older model require it to be DOWNSIZED 95%, and do not have a removable blade. The design has now been updated to have a better fit on most printers and to allow the blade to be removed.
NEWEST MODEL PRINTING GUIDE:
- Profiles labelled “Newest Model” have been updated with some consistency fixes, as well as no longer needing to be resized to 95% scale like the older ones had to be due to a slightly smaller outer blade which is now at the same angle as the rest of the disc.
- Print anything labelled “x2” twice. Other profiles are now likely outdated.
- If you want a removeable blade, use the “Normal” profile, which includes the "Disc Blade x2", “Main Body x2”, “Spacer”, and "Pegs" files.
- Alternatively, the “Less Pieces” profile has less pieces in exchange for being unable to remove the blade. It includes the “Half Disc x2” and “Pegs” files.
- If your print bed is too small for the outer blade part, use the “More Pieces” profile, which includes the “Main Body x2”, “Spacer”, “Pegs”, and 3 “Divided Disc Blade x6” files, meaning the plate with the 3 Divided Disc Blades should be printed twice.
Thank you to Jojo and Parzival IOI for making print profiles for the old design.
