Description
This is a pen holder made out of twisted and interlocked hexnuts.
I made 3 versions of this:
- Single Part: Can be printed as a whole, but supports are needed. Tree supports work well here.
- Multipart supportless: Every nut is printed on its own. So you can make it as tall as you like. Nuts are printed upside down, so you can have your bed texture on the top surfaces.
- Multipart with supports: Every nut is printed on its own, but supports are needed. These are best if you want to use a different color per nut without the use of an AMS.
If you like the model I would appreciate you uploading a photo of your print. I'm interested how different colors can turn out on this.
Possible modifications via the slicer:
- X, Y & Z scaling is obviously possible
- You can use the XY-hole compensation to widen the opening or to make it smaler if you want a different asthetic.
- If not changed the opening is 80mm in diameter. You can add a cylinder as a negative part to make the bottom go deeper
