Standalone Latch for Small Boxes

Update Feb 2026: Added a second plate with modified latch that holds closed a bit tighter

Small 3-piece latching mechanism that can be superglued to small boxes to help keep them closed when they don't have any latching mechanism of their own. Credit to the original designer for the latch model, I just extracted the relevant pieces from his model so I could use it on other boxes.

This isn't a particularly secure latch, but is good enough to prevent a hinged lid from opening on its own when the box is tilted. Will probably also work on non-hinged lids if you attach two on opposite sides.
