Fully adjustable tablet mount for airplane tray. Also check out the iPad Pro version, the smaller smartphone / Nintendo Switch version, the MagSafe version and my favourite: the Anker MagGo version

Design updated 16 July 2024 to fit fatter tray tables.

Key features

  • adjustable height and thickness (tablet sizes from iPad mini to iPad first gen)
  • one-time-adjustment and then simply snap on and off
  • original and optimized design, more than 30 prototypes tested
  • no screws or additional hardware needed
  • custom brim to ensure proper bed adhesion
  • 3 mm deep 4mm diameter hexagon on the inside of the mount for future add-ons.

I printed mine in PLA basic and it is plenty strong. PLA silk, matte and translucent filaments are not recommended and will probably break.

Worked great for both mine and my son's tablet on Westjet 737-800. Mine had no case and my son's had a case on it and it worked for both. Printed in ABS as we were flying somewhere hot and didn't want to worry about them deforming if the bags got hot in the sun. Thanks for the model

Btw, you can get a better viewing height (for adults) by assembling as shown in the model photos 🤓

Yes I saw that I had it upside down only after I returned from the trip. I rushed to get 4 pieces printed the night before we left and didn't pay enough attention to how they were meant to attach, Even with the unintended orientation, they still worked great for us. Thanks again.

This is the best iPad holder for an airplane that I have ever used. I printed two units for even better stability (turbulence and dude shifting in the seat in front of me). I mirror printed one of the shelf brackets so it would fit better across the top of the meal tray. It would be nice if there was a way to print a narrower shelf bracket, But this worked well as is. Great design!! Thank you!! 5 Stars for sure!!

Thank you! Great to hear! the width of the shelf is for strength and stability. it needs to be thin, so the only way to make it strong is to make it wider. i just use one, so strength and sideways stability is paramount.

You bet!! May be I should clarify… I know this version is for “fatter” meal trays, the ones on the small planes I fly on (Q400 regional turbo props) are quite thin… 22.4mm actually (because of course I had my calipers with me lol) 😁 It gets quite bumpy on those small turbo props, I’m glad I use 2. 🙂👍🏻

I would also like to say how much I love that it can be used as a multi-angle table top stand as well. I have an Otterbox defender case and the stand that come with the case is ridiculous!! This works awesome!! :D

Will test it in one week in a B737-Max. Fits nice on my FireHD 8 Plus incl. leather case.

Yes, works in B737-8 MAX. But it's a very tight fit closing and locking the table. Thanks.

thanks for confirming and sharing a photo! It is hard to avoid a very tight fit with most trays because they were not made to leave a gap.

I printed 5 different tablet and phone holders and this is by far the best. it fits my son's tablet in a think case and give stability far better than everything else I made. printed in PETG and it printed flawlessly!!! well done! I will say, I could not get it over my daughter's Amazon fire kids tablet but the case on that is 1 1/2" think or more. still 5 star as it fits everything else with ease!
