Description

Build and Protection

Project (dark gray) features a press fit mount over the sight's outer shell (light gray).
Given The 2mm-3mm acrylic glass lens (green colored) and the void space between scopes's outer lens (blue colored), should provide full protection against BBs, even in CQB scenarios.

This project requires an handcrafted acrylic glass lens of +-28.0mm diameter, and the recommended 2mm-3mm thickness.

Crafting Acrylic Lens

Materials Needed:

  1. 2mm-3mm thick acrylic glass sheet.
  2. Sandpaper.
  3. Cutting tool (e.g., saw or precision knife).

Steps to Create the Lens:

  1. Cut a square piece from the acrylic sheet, approximately 28.2mm x 28.2mm.
  2. Round the edges of the square piece using sandpaper until it fits snugly with a diameter close to 28.0mm

Assembly

  1. Print the bracket using a 3D printer.
  2. Insert the handcrafted acrylic lens into the 3D-printed bracket.
  3. Press fit the component onto the sight's front to complete the build.
