Description

Have you ever had an issue with RGB strips falling off the back of your TV? Well, so have I. I was also very unhappy with how it bounced off the back of the wall and the lack of even glow around the TV.

So, rather than spend an extra boatload of money on upgrading my Philips Hue Gradient strip to their TV version of the strip. I designed some mounts when used in tandem creates an even glow around your TV.

They are super quick to print and with a bit of VHB tape on the back, they won't be moving from your TV.

Contents provided are

  • 45-degree left corner piece
  • a 45-degree right corner piece
  • a straight channel

They are designed around the Philips Hue Gradient Strip, but you could easily resize them in your slicer to fit any larger LED strips.

Pictures shown for example are attached to a 43" TV using a 1 x 2M Gradient strip.

If you do print off this design and use it, I'd love for you to share them so I can see what it is like in different setups.

Added PETG Optimized Profile, which better works when TV gets too hot, PETG will be more durable than PLA.

Thanks for the profile, However, I don't think PETG is needed at all. If your TV/monitor is exceeding 50-60degrees that sounds like there may be an issue with your TV and at that point, the sticky back tape will fail far before the mounts.

this made it way easier to get my cheap(ish) led strip to actually stick on the back of the TV cleanly.

So much better than sticking flat to my TV. Used with a Nanoleaf smart light strip and the bias lighting effect is now wonderful. Thank you!

Nice way to attach light strip to a TV. Now I just need painters to finish the wall so I can install my TV and then these to it.

Printing was flawless, but they don't fit Hue lamps

This is the "PHILIPS Hue Play Gradient 55-inch Lightstrip" The original mounts have a wider "back" and a way to secure the strip without adhesive

You have the TV strip? That makes sense. These were designed for those who did not want to spend extra on the tv versions (they're the same, minus the mounts and they have double sided tape attached to them).

Fits the width nicely but i don't understand why the corners need 2 but understand if the person needs a little more flexibility for what they want.

Thanks! The reason for two corner pieces is that not all tv's are flat on the back. so you could place them in two different locations and also its a wider so you're not damaging any RGB strips which are very fragile.. I do have a version with a single corner piece, but im yet to upload the designs.
