NOTICE: I have created and uploaded a brand new balancing toy that fixes some of the inconveniences that this bad boy caused: https://makerworld.com/es/models/1036398#profileId-1020304

The original Balancing Bird creator for this design. Any other version of this bird uploaded anywhere else has been stolen from me.

Since some people have asked me about licensing for selling and I don't really have such thing because the model being free makes me lose control over what people do with it, if you want to support this model you can do so here: buymeacoffee.com/ngonjuan.

A self balancing bird toy I designed as an experiment, which turned out to work perfectly after a few iterations.

It was sculpted using zbrush and refined using Blender.

PRINT SETTINGS - These were mine, but are not the rule. Feel free to change them depending on your needs :)

Layer height: 0.16mm
Print speed: 60mm/s
Wall speed: 30mm/s
Infill: 20%
Supports: Everywhere, overhang angle 53º
Build plate adhesion: Brim

Dissapointed, waste of 4 hours and fillament, saw good reviews and it doesn’t even balance, i saw no reviews about balance issues so im very confused

its hard to get a pic of but the flat part of the beak acts as a hook and doesn’t balance like other pictures

I wonder if using a different orientation would yield better results on your printer🤔 I think someone added a profile for a different orientation that was better than my profile. I have to admit that when I initially uploaded this model I was fairly new to 3D printing x) otherwise feel free to messsage me on here if you have any further issues so I can help you get the toy working!

0.2mm layer, 2 walls, 15% infill

Supports were super easy to remove, bird balances nicely. Been looking for this model cos I got a similar bird from a friend and wanted to print one with my A1 mini (mine is the good looking one on the left, lol).

great profile, bit probably not suited for TPU for AMS, which is what I used. still balances great, but print quality is not ideal

I'm not exactly blaming it on the filament, the filament was part of the problem. the support could've been generated better.
