Description

This unique piggy bank is designed in the iconic shape of the yellow question mark block from the Super Mario series, complete with white question marks on each side. The top of the block features a coin slot for easy money insertion. True to its playful yet practical nature, this piggy bank cannot be opened conventionally and must be broken to retrieve the saved coins and bills inside, making it a fun and nostalgic way to save money.

These turned out awesome. I made them for my kids but I scaled them up a bit and made the fillers for the holes as well as adding their names to the top in the Super Mario 256 font pack I found over on dafont. I posted the plugs as a print profile if anyone else would like them.

Are you saying you cant find the font pack on dafont? I was able to type "Super Mario 256 font" into all the major search engines and it was the first link in all the results. https://www.dafont.com/super-mario-256.font

Everything work cool! I just made a dovetail cut because breaking the piggy bank to take the money seemed like a huge waste of plastic to me

Really nice model, thank you. Also thanks to @Zizzi93 for the idea to make a dovetail lid with the Bambu slicer.

I used the settings from the Designed and did not edit. But when connecting the parts i had to use a press to get it together.

clearances asre too close.. the bottom of question mark pushes in fine but the top part puts too much stress on the model since it has no supports. needs cylinders for the corners and a way to get the money out. printed two different questionnaire and they break the model ask sides

ill see what i can do to help fix this, but the model isn't supposed to have a way to get the money out since it is a "saving" piggy bank, the only way to retrieve the money is to break the box open like in the game. i will probably end up remixing the model to have a way to access easily

very successful design but the question marks don't fit 100% into the holes provided. but all in all a great piggy bank

I printed the dovetail version and reduced size to 75%. I made the slot bigger to ensure nintendo coins can be inserted. I found the question mark can be difficult to get it, so I would cover it with a towel (to prevent damage) and hit it lightly with a hammer to get it in. I did use glue behind all these white bits too to ensure they don't fall out through handling. I also enabled ironing on all the top surfaces which I recommend, it makes the lid slid off super smoothly. I added support to the top of the question mark as seen in my pictures
