By adding this to my inland role it was too wide. I couldn't use it and ended up ripping apart the inland spool. This resulted in my comments above which was when I realized that the cover doesn't close the entire way. The best way I found for inland roles is to just use electrical tape stretched over the role edge. It works perfectly and is supper simple.
I was looking for an AMS Lite solution. Realized my error when I paid attention to print #1 (I was sleepy, it was late, download mistakes were made). Then I thought 'Well, how might this work for my Inland spools in the big AMS (as is intended)? So, I printed the full model. It's a great model, just not what I needed, and it was my fault. But the profile and work is great, so 5 stars =)
I printed this a couple times with different materials. The print completes with no issues. The one problem I have had is the overture spool with the adapter on it is now to wide for the AMS slot. I have squeezed it into the slot but this just causes it to not be able to rotate in the AMS slot.
I understand your problem. I tried to design it to meet the majority of the cardboard spools out there. Unfortunately I cannot guarantee how wide the manufacturers make their spools. I hope you can use it on non- Overture spools. Thanks for downloading my model.
