Description

A parametric house number plate.

The model can be customized to fit any number, but notice that digits with “holes” (such as 0, 8, etc.) need additional supports for their inner shapes, which need to be added and adjusted manually. The code should be pretty well-commented, and the included parameters allow to precisely adjust these supports.

Additionally, there are parameters to adjust the plate mountpoints to fit different types of screws, or even different mounting options.

The plate is designed to be printed upside down, mainly for two reasons:

  • for a better finish on the main face;
  • to allow printing mountpoints without using supports.

The model shown in the pictures was printed with Extrudr's XPETG Matt filament, using the filament profiles provided on their website. However, the profile that I uploaded was sliced using a generic PETG filament for better compatibility.
