Description

wavy planter

with wrap-around plate

modern minimalist planter design with wavy pattern that sits elevated in a wrap-around plate

full dimensions in mm > x:110 · y:110 · z:100

  • included are the profiles at full size and 85% size, for both X1C and A1mini
  • the a1mini profile is equipped with the .60mm nozzle for the easywood PLA printing

this design has an updated approach to how the planter stays elevated agains the plate versus my previous planter with wrap around plate designs, hope you enjoy it!

photos show two different color scheme choices, that were kindly supported by FormFutura, that provided the filament shown on the pictures

notes

  • if you choose to use a contour fuzzy skin (as seen on the green plate in the photos) make sure that you use a cylinder modifier to prevent fuzzy on the elevated “tabs” of the plate
  • includes bambu studio 3mf files and STLs
  • all photos uploaded are of the actual printed model, and are copyright protected
  • if you enjoy this model please consider to buy me a coffee
  • commercial licence membership available on my patreon

It turned out beautifully when modeled with dry material. Thank you

hey, that looks to me like it's the seam, which looks like that filament doesn't handle very well, so you can try drying the filament and doing calibration to get better results, and do some trials with scarf seam to get a less visible seam - although it will always be there, that's just a characteristic of FDM printing :)

Thank you for your reply So it's the filament then I'll dry it and try making it again

Awesome print! I happened to have a few layer errors mid-print using eSun Marble PLA, and I have no idea what could have happened or how to prevent it for next time. Printed it on a Bambu P1S (closed) Any idea what it could have been?

hey, that looks like a layer shift, so it can be a few things, the print lifted slightly if there was some residues on the bed that prevented proper adhesion, or it's a matter of doing a printer full calibration to get it back into place. (btw i would not recommend printing marble pla with the door closed, unless you live in an area of the world where it's winter time right now)

Sorry for the double post, but then I realized that 2 things: 1.- I can 100% get behind that a layer shift would occur due to poor layer adhesion in the bed, but isn't that normally seen in the beginning of the print, not the end? 2.- Interestingly you can see that the print "corrected itself", shifted outwards for around 5-6 layers then went back to the original placement... had it not corrected I would totally agree that "something happened", but since it did, I got more confused than before

The vase turned out perfectly, but I'm having some trouble with the seam on the plate, could you perhaps offer assistance? It's not overly significant, but the eye seems drawn to the imperfection 😂

The seam will always be present, but with this filament it becomes very noticeable Attempts to calibrate the filament and use a scarf seam to improve it, alternatively fuzzy skin is always an excellent option to hide the seam

I conducted a test print using fuzzy skin, and the result was excellent, except for the unfortunate seam issue. I printed with a standard color PLA filament

A minor flaw in the tray's seam, but nothing serious. Very pretty

This print looks amazing. printed it in Bambu petg-cf for the main body, and PLA-CF for the outer portion (didn't have another petg-CF filament). thanks for sharing, I'll be printing it again for sure.
