Ender 3 HDD Motor Spool Holder

This is a spool holder for the Ender 3 that uses a hard drive motor as a bearing.

I am not sure if there is a standard size motor in most hard drives but we built two of these with motors from completely different drives and both had the same dimensions. If your drives are a different size I have included the Fusion 360 model for you to modify.

To mount everything 6-32 machine screws, I used 3/4" and then cut a few of the critical ones to length.

1 x Hard drive motor (with spindle mounting plate and screws)

1 x HDD_Ender3_Backplate

1 x HDD_Motor_Holder

1 x HDD_Spool_Holder

6 x 6-32 machine screws

6 x 6-32 machine screw nuts
