Description

I made these a while back to store my 5.56 ammo as the store I purchase from sells in bags, not boxes.

Based off Evolving Extrusions 9mm Battlebox - but adapted to fit other cartridges. Check out his fantastic designs here:

The well for the round does not fit a 556.The lid catches on when you try to close the lid. I also tried. a 9mm and the circumference of the well holes is too small.

had the same issue. After pushing that bar with holes harder, I was able to fit 223 rem rounds.

Was this a super tight fit for you? I had to put it on a table and use a ton of force to get the insert in all the way. Also my lid closes far enough to lock on, but not fully flush against the front. Close but no cigar.

does not scale well with 556. printer box doesn’t hold ammo.

Excellent box and clean fit for each piece. Definitely making more. If I could make one suggestion it would be to increase capacity. I'd love to print a 100rd box for 5.56 storage. I decided to delete the face plate because I liked the beveled look.

the top needs to be printed face down (large surface area down first). the lid messed up during printing.

Other Issues:the parts do not match the box and lid are the wrong files. Definitely not the 556. Other than that it is a good file.

I did swap out some files the other day, from my end on the "3d preview" they look to be correct now. The lid should be universal for all sizes so just the base should need to be re-printed in your case. The two print profiles look to be made with the incorrect base, downloading the stl directly should correct it. Love how the textured PEI plate looks on the top, much cleaner than my Ender 3s stock glass plate!
