I changed the supports to Tree Organic and turned all the speeds back up to default settings for Bambu PLA. Turned out great, now I just need to build a shelf for all of them :)

have you tried scaling them up at all? I was thinking of using for the same idea, for helmets / masks. was wondering if you’ve found a good scale to print at for a more snug fit for helmets and or masks? thanks in advance !

I don't have any helmets to test with but it was close enough for my Halloween wig. It works fine for display but there's very little friction so I had to use a little double sided tape to half it in place for styling (might not be an issue if I scaled it up). The only issue I could see with scaling it up would be potentially becoming too tall for the print volume

Support Issue: I really love the size of this and the way that it was made - Being hollow makes it so much less heavy, which is a great design. Unfortunately, the support got stuck to the chin and we’re nearly impossible to remove. Ripped off Leaving a hole. I was very cautious when trying to remove, but it was impossible.

Hi josie_smilez, could you post your support z distance? I personally didn't have this problem but I use a different support distance which I thought I included in the print profile, no one else has commented on this but maybe they're changing it themself. I'd love to look into this an improve the model :) Edit: after checking out the problem, I may just be able to turn supports off. As Im not sure if theyre necessary, thanks so much for bringing this to light, I'll update the model if it works without supports

I am new to 3d printing - so I didn't touch any of the settings. I will see where I can find that to send it to you.

personally I used a 0.32mm z dinstance for my supports but I want it to work for everyone regardless of settings so I’m fixing it best I can, thank you so much 🙏

not the shape of a human head. prints ok. put my deadpool mask on it, will need to fill it up with other materials to fill in for a better fit.

Friend, forgive me but it says support for “hat”, not “mask” 😅 no offense intended eh 🫡❤️

A tad small but quite useful, I’ll use it for my cosplay masks and helmets/hats 😚

X1C 0.2mm layer, 2 walls, 25% adaptive cubic infill, PLA marble Thanks for the model, it printed brilliantly. No issue with the support, it came off easily enough with a little bit of wriggle. P

print worked great by just hitting print - used Bambu Basic PLA, P1S and the textured PEI plate. supports just fell away as I removed the item from build plate.

Had some problems with supports being completely stuck, leaving me with a big hole in the chin on the first try. Changed support type to normal, and used PETG for support interface, and that did the trick. Unfortunately, I can't share my print profile, as I used OrcaSlicer to make it, and Makerworld only allows profiles made in Bambu Studio. Thanks for the model!

printed absolutely beautifully! I needed something to display hats and beanies on to photograph and this seems to fit the bill I did change it to 3 walls and an adaptive cubic infill at 10% because I need it to be sturdy without the chance of accidentally falling over. the chin supports fell away cleanly when I pulled it off the plate.
