Description

minirummi: Travel-Sized Rummikub

minirummi is a compact, travel-sized version of the classic tile-based game Rummikub. In Rummikub, players strategically arrange numbered tiles in runs and sets, aiming to be the first to use all their tiles. This travel-sized adaptation includes a mini-sized version of the original 106 tiles, a storage tray for the tiles, 4 folding stands, and a box to contain it all.

Assembly:

Please note that assembly may require some patience and attention to detail. The set consists of two main layers:

  1. Folding stands
  2. Tray containing the game tiles

While either layer can be placed on top, we recommend placing the tile tray above the stands. This arrangement allows for easy removal of the stands by simply tipping the box after you've removed the tile tray.

To assemble:

1. Place the stands in the box, ensuring their ledges interlock with minimal space between them.

2. Rest the tile tray on top of the stands.

3. Slide the lid over the tile tray, ensuring no errant tiles are sticking up and the lid is secured in place.

Notes:

  • If you're struggling to open the stand legs with your fingers, simply use the tiles!  They're the perfect size to get under the leg and pry it up.
  • If using light-colored filament for tile bodies, be aware that the tile backs may become slightly translucent. This could potentially allow untrustworthy players to discern colors or even numbers by closely examining the tile backs.
  • The tray can serve as a container for extra tiles during gameplay, especially in 4-player games with fewer remaining tiles. However, for ease of use, consider adding a thin fabric pouch to the box or simply spread the remaining tiles on the play surface.

edit: tried a different print profile and the stands opened with ease. not sure what the difference was if any or maybe just bad luck with the print at the time. updated rating Loved the print, but no matter what, I couldn’t get the stands to pry loose. They rip apart without budging

I’m sorry to see your stands printed poorly! I have to admit I haven’t seen this issue so I’m not confident on the solution, but these hinges rely on decent bridging performance from the printer. Are you printing this on an enclosed printer or an A1/A1 mini?

It was the A1. I tried another print profile of the stands and they came out great. I was easily able to open them this time. Not sure why this one was better since it was the same filament used and I assumed it’s the same model. But the first ones I printed felt like they were super glue together

Great model, super fun to play. Do you think I could upload a remix or print profile of the version I edited, which is enlarged for 6 players? I've increased the number of dice and the packaging itself to accommodate 6 stands.

Great print, had a fun night playing with it. Definitely recommend it! Everything is working great but I find the box lid is a bit hard to slide out.

Thanks for the feedback! I've updated the lid model and included variable layer height in the .3mf file to make it a bit easier to open and close. Hope you enjoy!

great print! came out awesome. personally I think I might prefer the numbers to be flush to the surface so you can print the number side on the textured PEI plate and also having a line under the 6 and 9 as a differentiator. These are small nitpicks though and probably just for my personal taste. killer design

Thanks for the feedback!! I added underlines under the 6 and 9 and added a second print profile that prints the tiles face down with a flush face. I think the effect of the textured plate works well, I'm sure the smooth plate would look good too. Thanks for the suggestions!

This model was really well designed. Everything printed out great and just fit wonderfully together. Printed the tiles on a smooth plate so it feels a bit more like the purchased version.

I think there is an issues with your colour profiles for the 1st set of tiles print, there are 3 rows of black instead of 2 rows black and 2 rows red.

Thanks for letting me know about this, this is super strange! Nothing changed about my uploaded profile, but it looks like there has been some updates to Bambu Studio/Handy that broke the profiles for this print (and maybe others). The 3mf downloaded on desktop seems okay and all the previews except the final, most crucial one, on mobile look okay which makes me think there is some incompatibility introduced with old 3mfs. I'm working on updating these 3mfs/print profiles now, thanks again for letting me know, I never would've discovered this myself!

not sure if you have updated it already but now it only allows to have 2 x colours on the 1st plate. i havent tried printing that plate so not sure if the issue is there whilst printing. instead I am printing the next plate individually by changing colours.

Had to reprint a few tiles (I'm guessing its a build plate issue). Came out great. I thought it was going to be difficult because of the size but we were able to play it just fine. Great for travel. We played it on our cruise

Thank you so much! The tile print can definitely be a "torture test" of sorts haha, happy to see you enjoying the game :)

The printing process is remarkably effortless, yielding virtually no material wastage, and the resulting configuration is exceptionally compact, meriting a perfect score

Hi there! You were kind enough to upload a version for those of us without the AMS... I had an idea to add pauses for a manual filament change for a color layer, but there's only two layers on top of that and the color kind of bleeds through. Would it be possible for you to add a couple extra top layers?
