- The goal of this puzzle is to fit six coins into a box without any part sticking out from the top.
- I recreated the puzzle using 3D modeling and verified it by 3D printing.
- While the original design is called Casino, I modified it to use hollow rings instead, which saves some material and makes it easier to play with.
- The lid can be directly placed on top (with some friction), but if you find it not tight enough, you can also add some glue to secure it.
All creative and design credits go to Dr. Volker Latussek.
This puzzle involves some spatial topology, which is an important branch of mathematics.
