Description

I am unsure if you encounter challenges with using printed models for videos or requiring a clean background due to a cluttered home.

Therefore, I have designed a simple green screen that allows you to effortlessly extract the model from its surroundings when taking pictures. This solution expands the versatility of your model's usage and eliminates the need to consider its original context.

Additionally, I have provided the SCAD file so that you can customize the size according to your specific requirements.

Furthermore, if a green screen background is unnecessary, it is possible to alter the print color (e.g., white) for convenient product displays and high-quality product photography.

Feel free to give it a try!

As this is my first time uploading the model, please feel free to leave a message if you have any questions during its use. I will respond as soon as possible. Thank you.

Something wrong with this model. It did not come out green for me. Can you update the file?

Can you please describe the problem more specifically? For example, under what circumstances, what content was filmed, how did you not achieve the desired effect, and what effect do you hope to achieve? This way, I can better assist you. It would be best if pictures could be provided.

I still have to make proper use of it, but I loved the idea to test the printer a bit with the green PLA filament that came with it hehe Printed great, just maybe a bit weird in the bottom-front corner, but still like it.

Get it. When designing, my main consideration was to reduce the shadows of the model itself and save materials, but the actual printing feels that the configuration can be further optimized.

Had two failed prints due to bed adhesion issues with A1, BambuLab PLA Basic Green. I had to add a large brim to get it working. Still, there are some artifacts in the edges. I will be looking in to some more experiments for flow rate calibration for this filament.

I like it and I'll use it, but the nozzle did some serious dragging and made for a rough edge along the bottom two edges. The other edges (Z? ) printed fine. I did scale up because this is pretty tiny. It might be a contributing factor, but others mentioned the same thing, so I don't think it could be solely on my part. Great idea that could use a little tweaking.

This is a cool idea. do you have any examples of the “after” photos once you’ve removed the green background?

Of course, and I can provide an imperfect demonstration. I use the cutout function that comes with the iOS here. My phone is iPhone 14 Pro. In daily use, iPhone fill light when the object is too close to the shot, and because the background is green, the shadow can be seen green in the picture. But as a simple green screen, such as shooting products or freeze frame animations, it is enough for me, especially for figurines. But if it is for professional use, fill light is also needed for lighting. It may be better to use white when printing, but I only have green when purchasing products, so I thought of the idea of green screen.

Printed really well! Uses a LOT of filament though. I think knowing more as I do now I would reduce the infill or type to cut that down some but I use this for many many pictures and I have no plans on reprinting anytime soon!
