One piece Su-47 multicolor aircraft
Print Profile(1)

Description
Introduction:
One piece Sukhoi Su-47 Berkut multicolor supersonic jet fighter. One of the most famous aeroplanes with “backward wings”. I am a fan of the Ace Combat series and this was one of my favourites growing up :)

Credits:
Thanks to the amazing work from @fady modelling this iconic fighter jet! I just made it easier to print and added the colors :)
Printing details:
Layer height: 0.12mm
Material: PETG Prusa Galaxy black, signal white and lipstick red
Supports: Tree, organic, auto, 40 degrees threshold, build plate only
Print time: 27 hours
filament consumption: 281g (the aeroplane is 22 cm long)
Infill: None if printed at >45 degrees nose up in the sky
Orientation: Printed at >45 degrees nose up in the sky
All these parameters are already set up in the bambustudio .3mf file :)
Remix details:
- Thickened the wings and other control surfaces by 2-3x
- Removed all the small details that won't print very well with FDM in one part (mostly spikes and other very small details)
- Removed all internal geometry including missiles and simplified the engine intakes
- Fixed the non-manifold topology
- Smoothed the topology a lot (subdiv + control loops) to get smooth curves even with an STL.
- Supported the model to get a decent quality while printing one piece.
- Painted it with its iconic colors.
Assembly instructions:
None! This is an assembly-free model with the downside of using supports :)

Support removal
I found the supports to be extremely easy to remove at 0.12 mm. They mostly removed themselves when I bent the build plate :)
It was significantly harder at 0.3mm layer height when I did my “quick” initial print test, so you may want to keep the layer height low to get a good finish and easy support removal.
