Description

Just a simple golf ball pen holder for your desk at work, home, office, or whatever. Pretty simple print and I did use tree supports so nothing funny happened to the dimples toward the bottom of the ball. I used some generic petg from amazon so I imagine bambu PLA would print pretty smoothly.

Printed Okay, but there is a line running from about 15mm from the bottom all around, like a few layers shifted a millimetre to the side, makes the surface uneven, that I did remove by hand (precision knifes).

Hello there, I just opened the file in Blender and no problem with the mesh. If you look at the other photos closely, then you realize that all prints have the same issue. I think if you block the the tree support at the higher layer or completely and crank up the Auxiliary Part Cooling to 100% it should help.

Did this help anyone? I am having the same issue. I would like to make the roughness less noticeable. It seems to be where the bottom layer of the inside of the bowl meets the outside wall.

I’m not sure, it might be a bad SD card in the printer. I had to replace one a while back because prints kept doing the same thing. if there were no error messages on your printer, I’d say that is the culprit. Try to google it and see if it sounds similar. that is on Bambu though not me lol

Okay thankyou ! It’s a brand new printer and the nozzle got stuck to the top of the design so i wasn’t sure what happened

My sister hosted an event and wanted something to use for a vase. We repurposed your pen holder and used it as a flower vase and a container for peanuts. It was a huge hit. Everyone loved it!!!

Great gift! Nice print profile! Decent size! The one complaint I have is that there is a seam towards the bottom of the ball where the supports stop. If it’s just sitting on your desk you can’t see it. If you decide to place this on a shelf up high, it might be more noticeable.
