Description

I used the original model of a fight club soap and turned it into a soap mold. It was an rather easy print with TPU. The soap was just casted directly into the TPU mold, without any release agent applied to the mold. Just waited for it to cool down, bend the TPU mold slightly and it fell out of the mold.

Next time I will try to match the proper color with my soap. ;-)

Nice and easy, make sure to wait enough before demolding. To say something, would be nice if it were 2 part mold so the demolding would be easier. Or maybe, set the letter in positive (in the mold) so they look in negative (in the soap)

Maybe it could help if I add a slight angle to the letters. Might be easier for demolding. My soap came out nice and easy from the mold, so it might depend on the soap as well. It seems that you had a few air bubbles as well. What filament did you use?

What did you use for a lid? Otherwise it looks fine.

No lid, I just cast the soap until the mould is full. I thought about putting a small radius at the top of the mould as well, but I'm afraid the tpu is too stiff for demoulding. The soap is in use right now.

I am looking for a mold to form a new piece from small soap pieces. For that I need a lid. I am just learning, that most soap molds come without a lid, because people are making their own soap and are not reusing and pressing small leftover pieces into a new big piece. Unfortunately I am not a creator to design my own.

Would this be sufficient? I'm not sure if this will work, if the soap isn't liquid. The total thickness is 4 mm.

Worked perfectly for homemade soap! I'm not sure of the process my friend used, but he had good results with this mold. Thanks for sharing the design!
