Description
Customizable EU/European Licenseplate Keychain V1
Use the customize button to edit the licenseplate to your liking!
Customization Options
- Main text settings: edit the font, size and text of the license plate text, license plate scales automatically with the font dimensions.
- License plate dimensions: edit the size of the license plate / keychain, for example the thickness of the keychain, also use the offsets to maintain license plate dimension when having short text, see example below:

- Euroband dimensions: Change the size of the euro band on the left side, when using some custom fonts you'll need to add a little bit extra padding.
- Euroband star settings: Change the settings of the stars, by default the keychain will use cylinders instead of stars (it will print more beautiful), you can also change the amount of stars, the radius, size, and extra height.
- Euroband text settings: edit the font, size and text of the euroband text.
I appreciate your feedback, and look forward to see the printed keychains! If you find any issue with the model, or have a suggestion, please leave a comment and i will reply as soon as possible!
NOTICE: MakerLab does not support custom fonts within OpenSCAD files, to use the official license plates fonts, go through the following steps:
- Download the latest Development Snapshot OpenSCAD build and install (https://openscad.org/downloads.html).

- Download and open the “licenseplate.scad” file in OpenSCAD
- Enable textmetrics() function in Edit → Preferences → Features → Check textmetrics.

- Download your preferred font from the internet, and drop the TFF or OTF file in the same folder as the .scad file (The filename must be less than 8 characters, if it exceeds this, rename the file). (Netherlands: https://www.dafont.com/kenteken.font, Belgium: https://fontsgeek.com/fonts/Snv-Becker-Regular, Germany: https://www.ffonts.net/Kraftfahrzeugkennzeichen.font).
- rename the references off the font in the OpenSCAD file.

- Edit the other parameters to your liking (Press F6 to Render).
- If satisfied, Export as STL, Import into BambuLab Studio and paint the model to your preferred colors.
