Description

This is a parametric roll-front box OpenSCAD model. I designed it to allow 4 to be printed to fit inside my IKEA Kallax shelf, and hide the contents. If you want to add a logo, you must download the OpenSCAD file, set your preferences as noted below.  

Parameters as follows:

  • Box (visible / not visible)
    • Size (L x W x H, wall thickness)
    • Rail size (L x W, Offset, thickness, radius)
       
  • Back (visible / not visible)
    • Insert depth
       
  • Door (visible / not visible)
    • Clearance, height offset
    • Rail Inserts (gap, length, quantity) 
    • Handle (L x W x H)
       
  • Door Pattern (flat or slotter)
    • Slotted (columns, height, thickness, Inset)
       
  • Logo (see Note below)
    • On Door, On Back
    • Height (thickness), Scale %, Rotate degrees, OffsetX, Offset X, Center
    • Door Inset 

Instructions:

  1. Click customize to generate your own model! 
  2. Download the 3MF or STL
  3. Open the file or add it to your project
  4. Right click and split the generated model into ‘Objects’
  5. Position cube, door & back on separate build plates
  6. Set cube printing face as ‘the front’ (open side, nearest the rails) to minimize support
  7. Enable support either as the Global Process or on the cube alone
  8. Print
  9. Enjoy!
