FFXI nation flags

These are "Lithophane" models of the nation flags from the Square-Enix mmorpg Final Fantasy XI. They are 100mm on a side and 5mm tall. Currently I have models for Windurst, San d'Oria and Bastok. I hope to do more in the future. Please get in touch if you can assist in designing higher resolution samples of the other flags. Post-Printing

Prints with moderate stringing using the Hatchbox Woodfill PLA. I used a diamond file to remove the strings. Regular Inland brand PLA printed much cleaner but wasn't quite the surface finish I was interested in.

How I Designed This

I used the .jpg files of the nation flags at http://quantumslasher.deviantart.com/ and edited them in photo shop to adjust colors and clean up some details. I then used the Lithophane tool at http://3dp.rocks/lithophane/ to convert these images to a 3D model.
