I'm a fan of squared hoods since I printed this one for my RF 50mm
https://www.printables.com/model/402765-canon-50mm-lens-hood

It offers great protection and some light reflection improvement and although optically the hole could be smaller then the cap cannot be inserted.

I'm far from being a good CAD designer but nevertheless I include the original OnShape document if anyone wants to remix it.

https://cad.onshape.com/documents/f4dae4be08b30e6f10b6224b/w/294a7be75a3818eede11c7a4/e/a5e2aab91f16029677dd420d?renderMode=0&uiState=66728b86e03c147df6813f00

The lens ‘thread’ has a height of 1.3mm, one way to print it is with 0.2 layer height and 0.3 for the first layer.

My combination of size, printer and PLA fits perfectly my lens, but other combinations may make it to tight, you may need to resize it to 100.5% or 99.5% depending on your case.

No supports, no brim or any other special considerations just point and shoot…

EDIT:

Added a V4 version with a more rounded version, this one I've used for some months and works like a charm!
