Enjoy my new present I modelled for a friend's 18th Birthday.

It's made of two parts:

The body
The lid, where you have to glue the leds as you can see in the second picture

Turned out great! Used sticky back flexible strip light, 2m, threaded in through the hole and stuck to the perimeter roughly twice round. Hoping my daughter loves it!

Printed at 50% scale. Doubled the 2 front layers of the 1st plate again. For the 2nd plate, scaled the height to 60% so there is still enough depth when assembling. Printed in PLA Silk Gold and front PLA red. LED light chain with 20 LEDs attached with hot glue to the inside of the rear part. One should ensure that the wires lie flat and the LEDs are slightly raised so that no shadows are cast to the front or sides. Used 5 LEDs at 1. Used 6 LEDs each in the left and right vertical parts of the 8 and 1 LED each in the 3 horizontal parts of the 8. This resulted in good illumination. I was surprised how well the Silk PLA shines through. With light, you can hardly see a difference from the front or sides

Stunning render! I printed it for my daughter who is turning 18. I added RGB LEDs inside with an IR controller that works through the white PLA.
