UK Number Plate Custom Name Keychain

Click the customise button to add your own name or text. You can resize to your needs. Hope it all works for you.

Was asked to print a friend's name on a UK style car number plate and couldnt see anything already available, so sharing the Openscad i created. Nothing spectacular, but does the job for me.

You could also use ironing to get a better finish.

No AMS

Change filament at layer 11

AMS

I have found using Height Range at max height is quicker & easier to paint. Choose the colour you want the text to be, set height range to max and then click on the top of the base plate (not on the letters). Then choose the colour of the base plate and use Fill to select the top of the plate again. Then fill in between any letters if required. Just saves a lot of time doing it this way I have found, rather than painting each letter individually.

The font used is the UK number plate font - Charles Wright, which can be found HERE

Thanks for this ! I don't have AMS so I followed your instructions. I didn't print a number plate but I used the modifiers to juste print a plate with my phone number and I put it on my dashboard when I park behind other cars. I showed it to my friends and they all loved it so I had to print some more of these :D Here are the settings I used.

This is great, thank you. Is it possible to have a version or an option to include a border on the top of the yellow plate (same height as the text)? Usually they are inset by 1mm or so.
