fidget gear ring

Description
Edit: Also see my other fidget rings, including a bracelet - because size does matter :)
This is probably my best fidget toy! I printed dozens of them because people keep wanting them.
It's a small, but satisfying fidget toy. You'll probably not want to wear it all the day due to it's size, but it's unobtrusive enough so you can still do a lot of things while wearing it. But while wearing it, you have a fidget thing right at hand for some quick fidgeting. (I'm wearing one as I type this; and fidgeting with it when thinking about what to type next.)
Also the planet gears look like plus signs - for some positive influence :) and they look quite a bit mesmerizing when moving in perfect unison.
I uploaded 4 sizes, 14mm, 16mm, 18mm and 20mm. If you need another size, ask in the comments and there's a good chance I'll make that.
You might need to use a bit of force to break the gear loose at first, but after a bit of breaking in it is supposed to run quite smoothly.
UPDATE: New print profile for easy and low waste multi-color rings; each ring model consists of 5 parts: 1: sun gear — 2: planet gear center parts — 3: planet gears' top 2 layers — 4: planet gears' bottom 2 layers — 5: ring gear. Changing the color of parts 3 and 4 requires only 4 filament changes and thus not much filament waste. a ring has about 3-4g of filament and ~2g of waste (poop and priming tower).
I also added a turn tool and some matching turn tool slots to ease breaking free and breaking in the ring (optionally with a power tool).
Some tips if it doesn't turn:
- Some filaments seem to handle this better than others; silk for example seems to be prone to fuse. I used basic and matte.
- Also you can try reducing the flow ratio by a few percent.
- Adjusting the XY size compensation is a third option to try (e.g. 0.02 for hole, -0.02 for contour).
Happy fidgeting!
