Description

Simple stand for the ZimaBoard that can accommodate two 2.5" drives based on the rack mounted module I have created.

It is available in two variant:

  • Original (zimaboard-hdd-stand.stl): which can accommodate up to two 9.5 mm high 2.5" inch drives
  • XL (zimaboard-hdd-stand-15mm.stl): a modified version which can handle drives up to 15 mm high

Assembly

You need unscrew and remove the lower plastic plate from your ZimaBoard and reuse the screw to mount it to this stand as it has no mounting holes exposed.

Standard hard drive mounting screws can be used to attach your HDD / SDD in the drive slots. The ones coming from the official HDD bracket work perfectly here.

Printing

The model should be printed with the front section on the build-plate (see the 3mf file) and can be printed relatively quickly and cleanly using 0.3mm layer height in PETG or PLA (PLA might not be the best in warmer environment).

  • Raft: no
  • Supports: no
  • Layer Height: 0.3mm
  • Infill: 20%
