Description

  • ⚠️ Important Notice – Please Read Before Printing an AMS Riser

Due to a license change by benlevi, the original creator of my AMS Riser V2, I am no longer able to update the description of this model. I have already reached out to Support about this issue, but they were not able to help me – because of the license change, this situation is simply how it is, there is nothing more I can do on my end to modify the listing.

I'm currently receiving an increasing number of complaints from users who have printed the Riser V2 for the Bambu Lab P2S or X2D

⚠️ Compatibility – please double-check before you print:

  • Riser V2P1S, P1P, and X1C
  • Riser V3P2S and X2D

Printing the wrong version will result in fitment issues, as the printer dimensions and mounting points differ between generations.

Thanks for your understanding, and sorry for any confusion caused by the locked description – my hands are tied here, but I hope this notice helps clear things up!

You may need more space for Buildplates? Printed already my Riser V2 or plan to do so?

This could be an option.
This connect the awesome “Build Plate Rack - Bambu X1/P1” by toolmantim313 to my Riserv2.

I`ve changed some details on the Build Plate Rack but if you already have one i think its compatible.

I´ve added a bin with removable 2x5 Gridfinity on the Top of this construction.

2024/07/03 added a Bumper made from TPU

Unfortunately, I was a little eager to put this thing together, and nothing said they couldn't be glued together... So, I have to wait for my riser to print to test if it will still work. A couple of clarifications as I think the BOM is slightly misleading: - The AA160 (M3x14mm) machine screws will work for the front (4 screws) and rear (4 screws) frames to the upper and lower plate channels. - The AA160 (M3x14mm - 2 screws) will also work for the "connector" that mounts the rack to the Riser-v2. - But, for the top bin, you want to use AA159 (M3x10mm - 2 screws) to screw the bin into the connector, otherwise you will split it with the longer screws.

Yes, I had some trouble linking to the parts in an early version of the BOM. I will add this as soon as I have time; doing it on a smartphone won't work :-)

I just printed the connector from PETG. Fits like a glove and now I have my plates readily at hand.

Do you have your STL from those side panels?

Other Issues:this needs actual instructions. nowhere it says to put the bin last. it creates unnecessary pressure on side while putting the top screws. really dislike when people post stuff with no directions whatsoever.

Brilliant design. Printed outer frame in Sunlu black PETG and plate "teeth" in Sunlu PLA yellow, then added all the extras so I have extra storage and all the things I use regularly at hand.. My printer is growing and printing it's own upgrades is a constant source of amusement. Thanks!

Very useful. Would say that I had to install the plate holder first and then screw in the tray, as the connectors just wouldn't slide in right for me, but other than that burden it's a great print!

I was wondering if you have shared the blueprints for your AMS bracket anywhere?

Which portion are you referring to? All components, excluding the "Gridfinity" pieces, are included on separate plates within the files on this page.

What is the blue knob in the pic? I've seen the print a few times now but haven't been able to figure out what it's called.

I kind of thought it would be a little bit straighter and more flush... Printed and screwed together both pieces but they don't slot in correctly. As some have stated I had to really push hard to get the screws in which makes mounting it first then screwing it impossible. It also means you'd have to unscrew it before removing it which is a PITA. A small mod to make it where you can take it on/off without that would give this an easy 5 star.

I dig it. I did remix the top-bin with some options so I can use some Dual AMS adapters i'm using. Definitely couldn't have my setup without your projects. Much appreciate - and allowing remixes definitely helps keep the community co-op oriented. So I appreciate that too. Really cool

For anyone who is a plate-a-holic... This is a must have to add to your AMS Riser V2. Printed amazingly well in PLA+/PLA, went together without a hitch. Now instead of two slots for plates, I have 12... *runs off to Temu to buy more plates he'll use 3 times and get bored of* Thanks for your well done model!!!

fantastic adaptation to the rack design, I only had one issue with the part that attaches to the riser: I couldn’t get it to fit with the extension that attaches to the gridfinity tray, just couldn’t get the angle right to slip it into the slot. maybe I’m doing something wrong? it could be the tolerances are really tight on the male piece because I have to force it into the slot and it’s a struggle to get it back out. the spool holder attachment on the other hand slides in and out of the slot without any effort, simply perfect fit I was able to get around it by printing a second piece of the male piece and installing it on the other side of the rack, then screwing the gridfinity box into that. not complaining at all! happy and thankful for this design adaptation/improvement. just figured I’d throw out the feedback I haven’t printed the TPU feet and don’t know if I’ll need them, but I’ll update this feedback if I do.

PS black parts on everything pictured are SUNLU matte PETG, the metallic are Zyltech Silver PLA (non-silk) if anyone wonders. the sunlu PETG came out SMOOOOOOOOOOTH

If you take off the top part and just slide the connectors (circled in green in the picture) into the ports, doesn’t that work?

Unable to install the top drawer and fit in. Other than that it is great.
