Hand fan Voronoi

I designed minimalistic hand fan which will be very helpful during hot summer days or on the beach :)

20 pcs of wings needed
For A1 mini print plate with wings 10 times.
All other printers print plate with wings 2 times.
 

Additional materials needed:

• needle and thread
• glue (to secure pin cap)`

Assembly:

It’s a little bit tricky and take some time but final effect is worth it.

First put all wings on pin and secure them with pin cap(you can use glue to secure connection).

It’s time to use needle and thread. I created a big knot at the end of thread to be sure that thread don’t escape through hole.

Starting from bottom of wing you need repeat the pattern (numbers are holes which you should put needle):

1 (from bottom) 

2 (from top)

1 (from bottom)

2 (from top)

3 (from bottom)

2 (from top) 

3 (from bottom)

2 (from top)

3 from bottom)

Take next wing and repeat process:

1 (from bottom) 

2 (from top)

1 (from bottom)

2 (from top)

Align top one wing edge with bottom wing hole (no 3). Gentle pull the thread to be sure it everything is stiff and stable then repeat steps:

3 (from bottom)

2 (from top) 

3 (from bottom)

2 (from top)

3 from bottom)

Repeat for all wings.
Last wing should be secured same way as first.
