A quick release device for bicycles (water bottles or storage tanks)
The installation holes in the triangle area of my frame are occupied by large water bottles and bike locks, so I can only use the installation holes on the down tube. After the down tube water bottle is installed, due to the influence of the hole position, water bottle rack structure and wheel spacing, it is very inconvenient to take out the water bottle or storage tank. The handlebars need to be turned. Moreover, if the water bottle rack is removed during riding, it will rub against the tire, causing damage to the water bottle or storage tank. Therefore, this quick release device is designed for the water bottle or storage tank, which has solved the above problems.
I used the spring inside the ballpoint pen for the spring. You can try using other springs. The spring inside the ballpoint pen is not strong enough, and the lock is not obvious after locking.
The spring width is about: 4.8mm
The maximum length of the spring after compression is about: 9.5mm
The length of the spring after installation is about: 13.4mm
