Fence Cap - Post Cap - Tube End Cap for 33.7 / 33.8mm Tube

Post caps worn out? Not anymore. Replacement cap for 33.7/33.8mm tube – fits snugly, prints fast.

On our fence, the old post caps were completely worn out: brittle, cracked – and in a few spots, the tube coating at the top had even suffered. So: new slip-on end caps, suitable for the common 33.7 mm / 33.8 mm steel tubes.

To ensure a good fit even with slightly different tube conditions (coating, tolerances, “the tube has seen some action”), there are two variants with minimally different inner diameters:
 

Variants

• V1 – ID 33.7 mm · Height 29 mm · Wall thickness 1.75 mm
  → rather “snug”, good if the tube dimension truly matches / little coating
   
• V2 – ID 33.8 mm · Height 29 mm · Wall thickness 1.75 mm
  → minimally looser, good with thick coating / slight oversize

I printed them in PETG (approx. 8.5 g per cap). For permanent direct sunlight, ASA is the top choice.

Pro tip for a really nice top surface:
Simply print with the closed cap side on the Smooth Plate – then the visible surface will be nice and smooth, without support.

• Orientation: closed side down (on the build plate)
• Walls: 3–4 (for outdoor use, preferably 4)
• Infill: 15% (e.g. Gyroid or Grid – both ok)
• Support: no
• Material: PETG recommended, ASA for direct sun/heat
