Description
I really like the original rubber band triangle board game. And there is nothing wrong with using rubber bands for it at all. It just seems to have a few disadvantages compared to 3d printed parts.
- Rubber bands dry out pretty fast, get brittle and break. They will have to be replaced once in a while.
- Rubber bands put stress on the pins of the board. Not a lot, and most of the times equalized in different directions, but if a pon breaks you will have to print the whole board again.
- Rubber bands are thicker than the 3d printed parts. Duriong a game the rubber bands can stack so high on the pins that they are prone to flicking all over the room.
- You might not have rubber bands at hand, but you dams sure got a 3D printer!
- I, very subjectively, like the clean look pf the ptinted parts better
So I just took a few minutes to design those parts, that connect and mark 4 pins on the board in just the same manner the rubber bands do. With just 0.4mm height (or 2 layers) the stack a lot better than the rubber bands, print super fast, and look great.
