Some improvements after using the original for a few weeks!
Spacemouse Wireless Holder/Wrist Rest with bottom inserts for rubber feet to prevent slipping. This model should work with most simple mouse wrist rests sold on Amazon (like the one pictured).
The diameter of the rubber feet insert is 7.8mm (0.37 Inch) which seems to be a standard size included in variety packs online. The specific item I bought on Amazon is titled “404 Pcs Rubber Feet Bumpers Pads” (didn't include link as I don't want to be an “affiliate link” guy).
