Fly Box with Sliding Lid
Print Profile(7)

Description
Fly box with sliding lid. Three versions available with different internal divider configurations.
Low profile, large box is 15.5 cm x 8.3 cm x 2.5 cm tall and will fit in wide vest pockets.
The small box is 8.3 cm x 8.3 cm x 2.5 cm tall.
No hinges to break or rust. Sliding lid clicks into place and will not accidentally pop open in tackle boxes or backpacks.
Fly decoration on the lid indicates the orientation of the box. To open, gently press the middle with your thumbs and slide the lid upwards.
The lid is perforated for ventilation but sturdy.
Built in, stable dividers that will not lift out of position or slide around, wide enough for dry flies as well as streamers.
Printing Instructions
- Prints without supports and fits on a single A1 mini plate.
- Please make sure the parts are fully cooled before lifting them from the plate.
- After printing the lid might fit a bit tight depending on printer and filament performance. You can sandpaper the rails on the lid slightly to improve the fit.
- Alternatively slide the lid on and off the box a few times to create a good fit between the two parts. This might take some force and it's normal for small strings of plastic to separate from the lid and the box.

General 3d Printing Tips
- Make sure your printing plate is clean! Oils from your skin can cause adhesion issues for your prints. Regularly wash your print plate with a detergent like Dawn, and avoid touching the surface when removing prints from the bed.
- If it's an option on your printer, always level the bed before each print. If you have to perform this manually, do so after every few prints. It takes a bit of time and patience, but it's a fair trade for reliable results.
- Ensure bed and nozzle temperatures are within the expected range for the material you're printing. Temperatures that are too high or too low can negatively affect the print, causing warping, malformed layers, or adhesion issues.
- Reduce your printing speed. Slower speeds are especially important for overhangs, as they give the material more time to cool as it's deposited.
