Description

Here I have created a snail trap to catch those pesky snails in the tank, Load up the trap with some food and wait overnight and remove all snails caught for the best results I add cucumbers or other vegetables into the trap and let it sink to the bottom of the aquarium overnight.

I tied a string to the bottom grate to easily remove it in the morning. The holes in the bottom do allow for some of the smaller snails to escape along with the water. It is not a perfect system for removing snails, but it does work well for me, if you end up printing it let me know how it worked! Even if it didn't work please leave a review so that I can improve the model, always great to hear feedback!

nice design. i was a little sceptical it would work because the holes are so large I thought many of the snails would fall through when I removed it and I couldn’t lay it flat in my tank because I have a small tank which doesn’t have much spare space. I had to lay it on its side. I went to take it out thinking it hasn’t worked but it had a load of snails in it.

That's a ton of small Snails! If you have a Nano tank I released a smaller Snail Trap!

works well. making the brim of the lid honeycomb to let out air when dropping it back in is the only improvement I can think of yet.
