Description

📡 Smart Home Presence Sensor Case 📡

Build a clean and adjustable enclosure for your LD2410 mmWave radar module and ESP32-WROOM board — perfect for Home Assistant, ESPHome and DIY smart home presence detection projects.

Instead of leaving your electronics exposed on a desk or shelf, this case gives your radar sensor a finished, practical and maker-friendly look.

✨ Why this model is useful

  • Adjustable radar direction: the LD2410 module can be rotated inside the case, so you can fine-tune the detection angle after installation.
  • Clean smart home setup: ideal for rooms, hallways, desks, shelves, workshops or hidden automation sensors.
  • Designed for ESP32-WROOM + LD2410: great for Home Assistant and ESPHome presence detection.
  • Simple assembly: only 2× M3 screws are needed.
  • Optional radar logo version: print it in two colors for a nicer visual detail.

🛠 Printing notes

  • Supports are required.
  • Tested with 0.2 mm layer height, 2 walls and 15% infill.
  • PLA works well for the body.
  • PETG support interface can help with easier support removal.

🔧 Assembly / compatibility notes

  1. Print the case parts.
  2. Insert the ESP32-WROOM board and LD2410 radar module.
  3. Use 2× M3 screws to close or fix the case.
  4. Rotate the radar module to point in the desired detection direction.
  5. Connect and configure it in your Home Assistant / ESPHome setup.

Important: please check your exact LD2410 / ESP32 board dimensions before printing. Some ESP32-WROOM boards with tall pin headers or bulky DuPont connectors may need extra space or low-profile/soldered wiring.

🏠 Great for

  • Home Assistant presence sensors
  • ESPHome DIY projects
  • mmWave room detection
  • Smart home automation
  • Desk, room or hallway presence detection
  • Clean electronics enclosures

💡 If you build smart home sensors, this is a simple way to make your ESP32 + LD2410 setup look clean, protected and easy to position.
