Cutlery drainer.

Dimensions:

The overlay is printed at a large angle, so that the print is successful, it is printed together with the support, which must be removed after cooling.

Part of the overlay is printed at a large angle, so support is required. On plate 2, I used a normal support as standard. On plate 3, I added the same part with a dedicated support, which gives slightly better quality, but the support is a bit more difficult to remove.

Note:

In the comments, you can see that some people are trying to print scaled dimensions, and from what I've noticed, with varying results. Therefore, as the author, I advise against scaling and recommend that you write to me if you want a different size - I will try to provide the model in the specified sizes (of course, in such cases, please be patient).

If you are printing from a material that is even slightly transparent, use a printing profile with three layers so that the fill pattern is not visible. From my experience, I can tell you that the basic colors from Bambu are slightly transparent and the matte colors are very opaque. My model is printed with matte colors and only two layers.

My gray print shows delicate shaded stripes, this is caused by different printing speeds, in the final printing profile I reduced the speed of the outer wall to 100mm/s to make the color uniform.

The grid at the bottom is not mandatory, it is added to keep the cutlery in its compartment.

Before you start printing, make sure you have a clean plate (Wash it in warm soapy water or IPA).

Hi! This cutlery drainer is very useful. I have printed smaller version and used it for one year. In the meantime, I have noticed that larger, heavier knives sometimes make drainer to fall. So I wanted to print it upscaling only Z axis (115%) to make it taller - and you were right, it did not match. Could you please add verison 15% taller? (edit: I have just realised that I upscaled this top element in wrong position - so that it was enlarged in two axis, actually. But still - I would appreciate if you could make it 15% taller).

The design is very beautiful and functional, and you can tell that attention to detail has been paid to the print profile. But I have tried to scale it down to make it a little smaller and the top part, there is no way to make it fit well. I have tried to adjust it better in Bambu Studio but there is always an angle that doesn't fit when one piece is placed on top of the other. Still, I will keep it. Thanks

Hello, I have seen cases of scaling with varying results, and I personally do not recommend scaling. I am currently working on a version that is 50% wider—all that remains is to print it and publish the print profile, so if you want a specific size, please write down the dimensions and I will try to prepare a model for you.

Nice model! I doubled its width and made a hole in the bottom part to better suit my needs, as it was a little small. Also, I’m not sure if it’s my scale, but the bottom piece was too loose, so I glued it.
