Description

Rubber duck for hiding while on Royal Caribbean cruises! Made this in multiple plate versions below for ease of use printing with or without AMS system. To secure the 2 piece duck simply place the crown on and slightly turn to lock it in place.

For ease of App printing I added the following:

1st Plate - Duck and Crown as separate objects

2nd Plate - Full colored single piece duck

3rd plate - Crown only

4th plate - Duck only

Happy hiding! and Cruising!

We use these as flush objects as well as they can be scaled up and down easily - super fun with all the crazy color combos that come out! If you want to learn out to save waste during AMS printing and flush to objects check out my tutorial here:

---------------

Updated 8/23/24

  • Added TPU profile as a single piece duck as I've been printing with TPU for squishy ducks. I repaired the bottom and under neck overhangs for this profile as TPU sucks at overhangs.
  • Sized at 100%, 75%, and 50% cause we also love hiding the baby ducks!

---------------

Updated 7/23/25

  • Made the Crown several times thicker. I like to scale these down and the crown was getting brittle/thin. Works even better as a flush object now being able to scale down so small.
  • Updated V2 file to have 1 color, 2 color low waste, and 5 color plate options. (just remove an eye color for 4 color printing)

Check out the new Duck Landing pad for your cruise door!

I used the Bambu slicer to put the words on the side.

I just used the Bambu Slicer to add text. Pretty easy to figure out.

Did you use supports for the bill of the duck? It's warning me, and I have done it before, but can't remember if I needed supports for that. Thanks

I changed the colors so it can be used with an AMS with as much color as possible. Thanks! They turned out great! I used PLA for mine.

How did you change the color of the duck's bill? When I slice it it does not show orange

I absolutely love these ducks! We’re heading out on a cruise, and I wanted something unique to bring along — these are perfect! My kids and I have printed 200 of them, including a giant one for our room steward. He/She will definitely love it! I’m a little bummed that I forgot to remove the blue infill on the big duck, but it still turned out great! I’ve printed them in sizes ranging from 50% to 200%, and every single one came out perfectly. I also adjusted the variable layer settings for a smoother finish, which made a big difference. I’ll definitely be printing more! A friend of mine is going on a cruise in December and asked me to make a bunch for her family too, so I will be working on those soon. Highly recommend this print!
