Description

Sword handle is amazing!....blade is really bad. really weak...never had a blade fail this hard. EDIT: Replaced the blade with AMS. turned out MUCH better. still slightly thin. but it actually works

Glad you got one that worked better. I printed in a Silk PLA and it indeed broke apart like your images. But with PLA Basic and Matte, they had no issues and held together. Might be a little blame on the filament, but I will try to make something stronger next time. I appreciate the call out and highlighting this.

I’ve attempted to print the blade out both in PETG basic and PLA basic, and both times I could not get the blade to separate as it appeared to have fused together along the seams, is there some setting I’m missing to get this to print properly? (printed on a brand new X1C from the handy app)

Same here. I printed with PETG and it failed at 97÷ because of height... and I also couldn't unstick it :(

This filament is Bambu PLA Silk Blue (13601).

Don't download. Print is COMPLETELY broken, the blade is fused together and does not uncollapse. Complete joke.

This sounds like either a filament or printer issue. I printed the blade with no issues.

Printed in PETG and the smallest portion of the blade was the only one that would separate. After some investigation it's the seam causing the problem (the tolerances are tight enough that it fuses the parts). Setting to random seam placement worked, and splitting the objects that make up the blade and printing separately would work as well though it adds a good amount of time to the print. Works well from what I can tell, have to wait until they're in the kiddos' hands to see how it holds up.

attempted PETG with the blade and all layers adheared to one another and would not break loose. Probably something I did.
