Greetings, fellow makers!

A simple paper holder for 20cm paper rolls (small workshop rolls). All parts (except fastening screws and pins) are included on the print bed. The holder can also be used as a filament unwinder. However, for this application, it is recommended to replace the sliding bearings with proper 608 type bearings.

Update!

A new tear-off mechanism has been added, located in the second print profile. The first profile only contains the holder.

There are also now different rollers with varying diameters for different paper rolls. You can find these in the “STL download section”.

Assembly instructions for the tear-off mechanism:

To secure the arm to the holder, I recommend using cylindrical pins with internal threads. The arms of the tear-off mechanism can then be secured using screws and a washer.

approx. 5mm outer diameter

It is also possible to use standard cylindrical pins or simply screws (M5).

After mounting the bolts, click the mounts (see above) into the holders and then mount the arms.

For the tear-off bar, it is best to use a few screws (M3). Do not overtighten!!! ;-)

Older model shown in the image.

There is also a type of reinforcement on the print bed (profile 2). You don't necessarily need it, but it can help with the initial assembly (locating the wall hole).

Have fun crafting, printing, and posting!!!

Thank you for the great design! I have converted it to an M10 threaded rod, the length is approximately 235 mm. Since the blue paper roll fell out of the holder, I have also added a lock. This gives the entire construction more stability. I would be pleased if this idea could be adopted

A remarkably stable holder for workshop rolls. Finally, a way to hang them properly.

👍🏼Super! An edge strip will be added soon, although this is not a problem for workshop rolls.

Great and practical design that unfortunately hasn't been used yet Unfortunately I'm only giving 4 stars because a lot of blemishes appeared on the rollers which I assume is due to different starting points a single seam would have been nicer here I sanded it once it might still be painted afterward you don't see it in the end anyway 🙋‍♂️ as a small eye-catcher I printed the holders in cyan

Great print in Bambu PLA Matte Black. I extended the roller and cutter to accommodate an 11 inch wide shop towel roll. The extended cutter made the serrations too flat so I hot glued a hacksaw blade to the cutter. I used M4 screws and inserts for the cutter arm attachments and M3 screws and inserts for the cutter blade. I had to print the cutter blade diagonally on its own plate to get the 328mm length. The same for the support bar.
