Description

Looking to create a durable, eco-friendly home for solitary bees? Here's how! Unlike commercial insect hotels that deteriorate quickly, this DIY insect hotel is designed for longevity and sustainability. The shell is 3D-printed using UV-resistant PETG, which ensures it lasts longer outdoors without breaking down into harmful microplastics (unlike PLA). To protect the bees from overheating, print the shell in light colors to reflect sunlight.

For the interior, use bamboo and wood pieces, each cut to 10 cm and drilled with 8 or 10 mm holes. The faceplate is crafted from 3.6mm plywood, laser-cut using the provided DXF file.

Build this insect hotel to give solitary bees a lasting, safe environment while contributing to the health of your garden ecosystem!
