Description

The original Articulated Shark is finally on MakerWorld!

XY compensations have been tuned because Bambulab printers are way too precise 😂 (and this model was designed back in 2019). Note that the upper teeth rely on the bottom ones to be printed, that's why a well-calibrated gap is so important. If it fails or it is too hard to open the jaw feel free to adjust the XY compensations yourself. I've provided a head so you can test the settings without wasting too much material.

4 Versions available:

  • Shark A: Original design, movable jaw
  • Shark B: Friendly face, movable jaw
  • Shark C: Original design, NON-movable jaw
  • Shark D: Friendly face, NON-movable jaw

After printing, the tail and the jaw should get free with a little force (a small knife may help you for the teeth):

Then just enjoy it, even in the water!!

Turned out great, but the bottom teeth are stuck to the top so I can’t open the jaw.

I’m relieved I’m not the only one with this problem

I used a swiss army knife; it's not super-fragile and if you give it a minute or two the mouth will open

Prints great but the jaws are stuck on mine

Try using a small knife. They do tend to stick, but can easily be opened with a knife.

Well done! I like the fact that you can change the orientation of the tail.

Could have benefited from adaptive layers to reduce the rings on the top.

Flawless printing, except for the mouth which had to be unlocked with a knife when finished (easy). My kids loved this model, good job!
