Description

Made some major changes in V2 with suggestions from @MediaMan3D. The focus here was to eliminate plastic from the sides, have the front weight load of the AMS rest on the front corners versus relying on a bow joint, and added some wire access holes to bring in some 12V LED lights (or whatever you choose.

STEP and STL included. Want to get the CAD over at OnShape? Just search in the Public section for “ams_riser2”.

When printing this:

  1. The STEP file includes part of the model that gives perspective on how the base of the AMS will fit on the stand. Please do not print it.
  2. I printed a draft in ABS, which is what you see in the pictures. This was before I tuned my filament across both X1-Cs. I will be reprinting soon.
  3. It should print very nice in most filaments if tuned correctly, but with the Bambu printers I might suggest using a CF-PLA or PLA+/PLA Pro filament to minimize any shrink or fitment issues. Your choice, just a suggestion… Chamber temp will not reach high enough temp for tougher PLAs to worry about.
  4. I highly recommend printing by putting the Left/Right sides on the build plate. For the rear pieces, you may have some minor fit issues if you print on the Back Sides for the left rear and right rear pieces. This will keep the vertical print axis the same for all 4 corners.
